Find the Bottleneck
Identify the real issue behind recurring problems instead of treating the symptom every day.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FOR LAST-MILE OPERATIONS
Practical coaching for Authorized Officers and Business Contacts who want stronger leadership, clearer accountability, better systems, and an operation that does not depend on the owner solving every problem.
NO MATTER HOW LONG YOU’VE BEEN DOING THIS
Every operation develops bottlenecks. Staffing, accountability, payroll, service, fleet, communication, leadership—sometimes you are too close to the business to see what is really holding it back.
Last Mile Leadership works with you and your Business Contact to identify those bottlenecks, challenge the way things have always been done, and build practical solutions that fit your operation.
Identify the real issue behind recurring problems instead of treating the symptom every day.
Work with the AO and BC to create systems that make sense for your specific operation.
Give your BC the structure, authority, and leadership tools to manage the team with confidence.
Reduce unnecessary owner involvement so you can focus on the business instead of every daily fire.
TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR COMPANY
How many times have you heard, “That’s not my route”? Or watched a BC get pulled in ten directions because every driver wants the operation built around what works best for them?
That culture burns BCs out, weakens accountability, and puts the business on defense. Your drivers are critical to the operation—but they should not be setting the rules of the company.
“That’s not my route.”
The goal is not to fight your drivers. The goal is to create clear standards, consistent accountability, and a leadership structure where the BC can lead without being run into the ground.
HOW WE HELP
Every operation is different. We focus on the leadership and operational bottlenecks that are creating the most friction for your team.
A focused look at where responsibility, authority, communication, and accountability are breaking down between the Authorized Officer, Business Contact, and drivers.
Structured coaching that helps a Business Contact move beyond dispatching and firefighting into real management and leadership.
Hands-on coaching for the leadership team when the challenge is bigger than one person and the operation needs better structure.
BUSINESS CONTACT DEVELOPMENT
Structured coaching built around the real responsibilities of managing a P&D operation—not generic leadership theory.
Set expectations, coach drivers, handle difficult conversations, and create a culture where standards matter.
Manage dispatch, call-outs, coverage, service issues, contingency planning, and communication with confidence.
Understand labor, overtime, productivity, and how BC decisions directly affect the economics of the operation.
Build better habits around DVIRs, preventive maintenance, breakdowns, repair communication, and vehicle readiness.
Use checklists, KPIs, scorecards, meetings, and reporting rhythms to keep the operation disciplined.
Teach BCs to anticipate problems, prioritize correctly, and make decisions with the whole business in mind.
WHO IT’S FOR
Whether you are brand new to ownership or have been doing this for decades, the right BC should reduce owner involvement, improve execution, and become a reliable operating leader.

ABOUT LAST MILE LEADERSHIP
Kelsey Turner started as a driver in 2018 and worked her way into a Business Contact role, learning the operation from the ground up. Today, she operates two GOLD CSAs and owns a mechanic shop—experience that gives her a practical view of the people, fleet, leadership, and systems it takes to run a strong last-mile operation.
The mission is simple: help contractors develop Business Contacts who can lead people, manage the operation, and take real ownership of the day-to-day business—while helping Authorized Officers identify bottlenecks and build better systems around the people they already have.
HOW IT WORKS
Identify the leadership team’s strengths, recurring bottlenecks, and biggest management gaps.
Develop the specific leadership, accountability, operational, and financial skills the team needs.
Put routines, standards, scorecards, and accountability systems into practice.
Build a Business Contact who can make decisions, own outcomes, and reduce dependence on the Authorized Officer.
TOOLS I USE IN MY OWN OPERATIONS
I use GroundSwell in my own companies to help reduce the time my management team spends rebuilding route plans and to improve operational visibility.
GroundSwell is not required to work with Last Mile Leadership. It is simply a tool I believe in because I use it in the businesses I operate.
